Generac generators are engineered and built in Wisconsin and carry strong five-year limited warranties (extended warranties are also available). These units are powered by Generac's OHVI® engines, designed specifically for generators. Generac's OHVI® engines are manufactured in Wisconsin, run smooth and clean, and are very user-friendly. They run on natural gas, diesel, or liquid propane. These engines last three to four times longer than our competitors' engines. They are the most environmentally friendly generator power plants on the market, consuming less fuel and releasing fewer emissions than competing brands.
You get the most effortless installation and best value on the market with a Generac generator. Many models are pre-packaged with a pre-wired transfer switch, and Generac has a weekly, biweekly, or monthly test mode. All models include a mounting pad.
In What Type of Generator Should I Invest?
The equipment cost for diesel or propane generators is about the same. Diesel units are self-contained and do not need an extra tank and diesel burns about 75% less fuel than a gaseous generator.
Diesel fuel is more reliable and readily available than liquid propane. Propane has no shelf life compared to diesel which has a two-year shelf life. Natural gas generators are meter-based (pay as you go) for fuel.
